For a young family or a single woman, an unexpected pregnancy can create isolation and fear about the future. By joining the WALK FOR LIFE, you are supporting moms and young families through pregnancy so that they are able to choose life for their baby. Those babies will grow up in a home where both parents and children can flourish.

Empower Life Center provides ultrasounds, options counseling, and support for young moms and families.Young women often come to Empower Life Center scared and feeling alone. By providing ultrasounds, classes and material supports, they are able to leave knowing they have the support to choose life.
Two Ways to Join The Walk for Life.
Pathway Ministries is funded through your support. When you click register for the Walk for Life, you’ll be taken to a page where you’ll create your fundraising page. Your fundraising page also doubles as your registration for the Walk for Life. This is an incredible way to not only support Pathway Ministries, but also share the work God is doing through Pathway Ministries.
We encourage every walker to invite friends, coworkers, and family to join them for the 2024 Walk for Life. You can invite them to attend and register as a non-fundraising walker using the link below.
Event Details
The Walk for Life is a 2-mile family friendly walk supporting Pathway Ministries and Empower Life Center. It will take place on Saturday, August 17th at the Gateway Building in Peoria. Start time is 8:00am and the walk will begin at 8:30. Walkers are encouraged to raise support for the walk as well as invite others to fundraise and walk!
FAQS
How much should I try to fundraise?
There’s no limit to how much you can raise, but everyone who raises over $250, over $750 or over $1000 will be entered into prize giveaways.
Do I have to fundraise to join the Walk for Life?
Pathway Ministries is funded solely by individuals, churches and businesses and receives no federal aid. By fundraising, you’re not only supporting the ministry but also have the opportunity to share what Pathway Ministries and Empower Life Center do in our community.
Will I get a shirt?
All fundraising walkers will receive a tee shirt.
What if it’s raining?
We all love our unpredictable Central Illinois weather, but Walk for Life 2024 will go on, rain or shine.
Are dogs & strollers allowed?
Absolutely! Dogs on leashes are allowed and families of all ages are encouraged to attend. Make a morning of it and enjoy a two-mile walk together before heading over to the Peoria Farmer’s Market after the walk.
